Kristin Reed
(second from right in picture below) is a doctoral student in the
Environmental Science, Policy and Management program at the University of California,
Berkeley. She received a B.S. in Science, Technology and International
Affairs and a certificate in African Studies from Georgetown
University's School of Foreign Service in 1999. Her undergraduate research
ranged from a study on the economic viability of game ranching in Kenya
to an analysis of the Kalahari resettlement project and diamond industry in
Botswana. Kristin’s present work addresses the effects of offshore oil
production on artisanal fishing communities in Angola.
