Stefanie McNabb - CSI fellow

For the last 5 years  Stefanie McNabb has performed project management and research for the Department of Homeland Security relating to national security issues.  She relies heavily on her training and knowledge in political science and international law in order to negotiate logistics and complete the assigned projects. However, Stefanie’s love of surfing and the ocean is leading to her change of lifestyle and priorities.  She became active in preserving those elements she so frequently visited, such as becoming a member of Saving the Waves, Surfrider and The Ocean Project.  Her newfound commitment and passion for the environment became so powerful that she is making a career change.  She is currently researching graduate programs that will provide the necessary background in ecosystem conservation in order to contribute to the stability and preservation of marine wildlife. Once she completes her graduate program, she plans on managing worldwide marine conservation and biodiversity projects.
